When you visit Walt Disney World can shape everything: crowds, prices, weather and how much you fit into each day. Staying in a vacation home makes any season easier, with room to spread out, a kitchen and a pool to rest between park days. Here is a season-by-season guide to help you choose your dates.
January and February
After New Year's week, crowds usually ease and vacation home rates are often among the lowest of the year. Weather is mild and can be cool in the mornings, so ask about pool heat. Watch for popular race weekends and the Presidents' Day holiday in February.
March and April
Spring break and Easter bring some of the busiest weeks of the year. Book early, expect higher nightly rates, and plan park days around reservations and early entry. Weather is warm and pleasant.
May
Early May is often a sweet spot: warm weather, fewer school groups and better value before summer begins. Memorial Day weekend gets busier.
June, July and August
Summer is family travel season. Expect heat, humidity and afternoon thunderstorms. Plan parks in the morning and evening, and spend hot afternoons at your private pool. Larger homes book fast, so reserve early.
September and October
Once schools return, September is often one of the quieter, better-value months, though it is peak hurricane season, so consider travel insurance. October brings Halloween events and fall breaks, and it gets busier through the month.
November and December
Early November and early December can be lovely, with holiday decorations and moderate crowds. Thanksgiving week and the stretch from Christmas to New Year's are among the busiest and most expensive times of the year.
Why a vacation home works in every season
